If there were 3.5 stars I would do that, but I'll round up because I was so pleasantly surprised. We were in Bangor two nights for an event, first night went out downtown and yes... if you have the time and energy and you aren't dragging around a bunch of tired kids - do that.

But if all your kids want to do is swim in the hotel pool and all you want to do is have a glass of wine and take the path of least resistance- you're going to get a reasonably priced, thoughtfully prepared dinner here. We had a few items off the kids' menus and the chicken fingers were better than the usual. Salads were generous and fresh, burger was delicious. Service was super friendly and prompt. I always try to dine local when I can, but this hotel restaurant was just the ticket the night we dined.

I never thought I would be giving 5 stars for a hotel restaurant but the people, quality and selection were great.  $12.95 for a buffet hot breakfast. Everyone was very pleasant and wanted to accommodate me as best as they could.

I love how l nice everyone in the Hilton, and Bangor, ME are!

Very pleased with my breakfast this morning. Had an egg white veggie omelette served to me even though it was Buffet style. Fresh fruit, yogurt, pancakes, biscuits, croissants were other options. Multiple types of fruit juice and hot coffee available. So glad I didn't go to Denny's across the street! Will be back for sure.

A much better choice than the many gut bomb chain restaurants nearby, but not on the same level as restaurants downtown like 11 Central, Blaze, Timbur, etc.

WOW!  I know it is located in a hotel but this place is a MUST for a date night or if you want a quality, delicious, beautifully presented, wonderful service, classy atmosphere experience.  I have been numerous times and have never written a review. This is on Dinner and Breakfast:

I have considered it my "hidden gem" but after tonight's meal I simply MUST share with everyone!
They had a special Valentine's Day menu. It was to DIE for. Wasabi whipped potatoes, goat cheese and spinach tart, vegetable wellington, dark chocolate frangelico cups, and so much more. I had a bite of it all from my table. We all cleared our plates and I told the chef to put the potatoes and wellington on the regular menu.

Typically they have wonderful specials and are always worth going for. I have never had a bad meal there. I usually end up with a pasta or seafood dish- they are always so unique and flavorful. Dishes range from traditional Italian, to Indian, to Irish, to French, even Thai and typical American with a twist.

The hamburgers are huge and my family loves them (I do not eat meat- only seafood), the steak is always my fathers favorite (very juicy), and its hard to mess up a Caesar salad but they do it perfectly there! I usually get it with shrimp, salmon, or calamari.

Desserts are good, we always go for the chocolate lava cake : )

Specialty drink list in Euro Pub, snack at bar, and they carry Magners Cider!

Moderately priced, Jazz music on Thursdays in the Euro Pub!

Attire ranges from casual to dressy, it is a hotel so guests and locals are always milling about.

Service is top of the line for this area. Very professional but easy going and pleasant to interact with.

Breakfast- for $10 you get a delicious buffet. Bacon, Sausage, pancakes, french toast, oatmeal, pastries, and eggs to order and an omlette station. Lots of other things as well.  Sometimes they have extras out like quiche or fresh bread. Wonderful and def worth the $10- skip the Dennys (which is next door) and try this place. WORTH IT!

Open 6 am to 10 am (11am  on weekends)

5 to 9pm (maybe 10 pm on weekends?) for Dinner
